A virtual race, The virtual event is a run on your own event that has to be performed on June 5th, you send your choice of results of 5K, 10k or 15K to us and we list you as completed on our website. The website will also list you as a donor of monies received to run your race to raise money and awareness of World Environment Day and its causes. World Environment Day is the United Nations day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. Since it began in 1974, the event has grown to become a global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated in over 100 countries. Above all, World Environment Day is the "people's day" for doing something to take care of the Earth. That "something" can be local, national or global. It can be a solo action or involve a crowd. Everyone is free to choose. Only One Earth-The Theme for 2022 Each World Environment Day is organized around a theme that draws attention to a particularly pressing environmental concern. The theme for 2022 Only One Earth-with a focus on its role in providing the essential infrastructure that supports life on Earth and human development.. WED has a different host country every year, where the official celebrations take place. This year will be in Sweden and It will focus on the need to live sustainably in harmony with nature, and our possibilities for shifting to a greener lifestyle through both policies and individual choices. “Only One Earth” was the motto for the 1972 Stockholm Conference. The 5th annual Cool Cape Cycling 2022 will take place at The Lewes Ferry "Exit Zero on the rocks" Beer Garden on Sunday, Sept 25, 2022. All attendees must be age 21 to attend Cool Cape 2022. 15, 30 or 55 approx mile treks to pick from Upon your return, you will get a beer choice at Exit Zero Beer Garden The course will wind through various parts of N Cape May. Lower township, Middle Township, Avalon, Stone Harbor depending on the course you choose. All pre-registered participants will receive a Cool Cape Cycling event shirt until supplies last Marked and GPS routes color coded for distance Guitar Entertainment at the Exit Zero, Beer Garden Venue We are still in the planning of this event- We are looking into putting together a tour over the Cape May Lewes Ferry into Lewes De, departure at 7am and riding thru Lewes Bike Paths - Distance still to be determined All riders presume liability for self and ride at your own risk.
